Delta Air Lines will launch its first nonstop daily service from New York-JFK to Porto, Portugal on 21 May 2026, expanding its transatlantic network with seven new European routes next summer.
The new connection makes Delta the only U.S. carrier flying directly between New York and Porto, adding to its existing Lisbon services from JFK and Boston. Operated by a Boeing 767-300, the route will offer four cabins: Delta One®, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort, and Main Cabin, featuring lie-flat seats, chef-curated dining, Missoni amenity kits, and free Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members.
Delta highlighted Porto’s mix of culture, cuisine, and coastal scenery, while also pointing to its proximity to the Douro Valley wine region and Portugal’s northern beaches. The airline framed the move as part of its most ambitious transatlantic schedule yet, which also includes new services from JFK to Sardinia and Malta, from Boston to Madrid and Nice, and from Seattle to Barcelona and Rome.
Portuguese airport operator ANA Aeroportos welcomed the move, calling it a “strong endorsement” of Porto’s growing importance as an international gateway, with the route expected to boost both tourism and regional connectivity.
