As announced by Aviation24.be on 24 December 2024, Delta Air Lines is resuming flights between Atlanta (ATL) and Brussels (BRU) on June 10, 2025, after a five-year hiatus due to COVID-19.

The service will be operated three times a week under flight numbers DL140/DL141, using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. The route was previously suspended in 2020.

The first flight, operated by Boeing 767-300ER with registration N188DN, took off from Atlanta Hartsfield on June 10 at 18:56 (about one hour late) and arrived in Brussels the next day at 08:56 after a flight of 8 hours.

After a celebration at Brussels Airport, the aircraft took off again to Atlanta at 11:05 (only 20 minutes late) to arrive on time at its destination across the pond. The duration of the return flight was 9 hours.
