Croatia Airlines has expanded its international network with the launch of five new seasonal routes from Zagreb to Hamburg, Bucharest, Milan, Madrid, and Prague. The routes are part of the airline’s broader growth strategy, enabled by its new Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
A ceremony at Zagreb Airport marked the inaugural Hamburg flight, attended by diplomatic representatives from the newly connected countries. All five routes will operate through the end of October, with multiple weekly frequencies:
The additions raise Zagreb’s total international connections to 23 cities, part of a broader summer network of 30 international destinations across 31 European airports. Croatia Airlines expects to operate over 18,200 flights and offer 2.26 million seats this summer — a 7% and 18% increase, respectively, compared to 2024.
The fleet renewal project, the largest in the airline’s history, began in 2024 and includes replacing its entire fleet with 15 Airbus A220 aircraft by 2027. Five of these next-generation aircraft will serve passengers during the 2025 summer season.
Zagreb Airport and the local tourism board welcomed the expansion, highlighting its role in boosting tourism, international visibility, and economic development.
