The number of tourist flights from Cologne/Bonn is growing: Corendon Airlines is intensifying its activities at the airport and opening another base in Germany. As of May, the airline will be stationing a plane in Cologne/Bonn for the summer and flying 25 times a week to 11 popular holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, Turkey, Greece and Egypt as well as on the Canary Islands. The aircraft that will be stationed at the airport is a Boeing 737 Max 8 – a new model of Boeing 737 that has only been on the market since last year. The aircraft is 15% more efficient and emits significantly less CO2 than its predecessors. Moreover, it is a particularly quiet aircraft. In addition to the permanently stationed aircraft, the airline will also be flying other Boeing 737-800 jets from Cologne/Bonn to the 11 sunny destinations.

We are very pleased that, as part of the expansion of its offer, Corendon Airlines has chosen our airport and has also decided to grace our apron with the state-of-the-art Boeing 737 Max 8. Our passengers can choose from eleven attractive sunny destinations that the airline flies to and they’ll be whisked off to their holiday destination with a new-generation aircraft,” says Johan Vanneste, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH.

As Corendon Airlines, we are excited to base our brand new Boeing 737 MAX 8, which will be delivered in 2019, at Cologne/Bonn Airport. We have planned a capacity of 260.000 seats on routes to Turkey and other popular holiday destinations. Besides using this airport as a base, Cologne/Bonn will not only be supported by the departing flights but also be supported by the arriving flights which come from other destinations. In this matter, we anticipate 2019 summer to be a great season. For the years ahead, we expect to continue our Cologne/Bonn operations with increasing the number of based aircraft, and also expanding our portfolio through popular holiday destinations and especially Anatolia,” says Y?ld?ray Karaer, Co-Founder of Corendon Tourism Group and CEO of Corendon Airlines.

As of this summer, Corendon Airlines will be flying from Cologne/Bonn to Izmir (3 weekly flights), Antalya (7 flights),  Alanya-Gazipasa (1 flight), Hurghada (2 flights), Fuerteventura (1 flight), Las Palmas on Gran Canaria (1 flight), Tenerife (1 flight), Heraklion on Crete (3 flights), Kos (2 flights), Rhodes (2 flights) and Palma de Mallorca (2 flights).

All Corendon Airlines flights can be booked through tour operators, travel agents and at www.corendon-airlines.com.
