Condor will resume flights between Frankfurt and Windhoek in summer 2027, reintroducing a route that was previously operated by the airline between 2014 and 2021. The new service will launch at the end of June 2027 and operate three times weekly, with departures from Frankfurt on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using the carrier’s modern Airbus A330neo fleet.
Condor said the decision reflects strong and sustained demand from German holidaymakers for travel to Namibia, one of Southern Africa’s most popular leisure destinations. Windhoek serves as the main gateway for visitors exploring Namibia’s national parks and wider Southern African region.
The announcement further strengthens air links between Germany and Namibia and comes shortly after Discover Airlines announced a significant expansion of its own services to Windhoek. With both airlines increasing capacity, competition on the Germany–Namibia market is set to intensify, underlining the growing importance of Namibia as a long-haul leisure destination for German travellers.
The combined expansion by Condor and Discover Airlines will substantially increase seat capacity between Germany and Namibia, providing travellers and tour operators with greater choice and flexibility while supporting tourism growth in the Southern African country.
