Condor has inaugurated a three-times-daily service between Frankfurt Airport and London Gatwick Airport, marking both the airline’s first-ever UK route and a key step in its European expansion strategy.
Operated with Airbus A320 aircraft in a two-class configuration, the new route is designed to serve both business and leisure travellers, offering flexible departure times throughout the day and enabling same-day return trips. The inaugural flights were fully booked, underlining strong initial demand.
The connection links two of Europe’s leading financial and cultural hubs, while also providing onward connectivity via Frankfurt to Condor’s long-haul network across Africa and Asia, as well as partner airline services.
For Gatwick, Condor’s arrival reinforces a period of rapid growth, with the airport adding multiple new carriers in recent weeks as it expands its short-haul and global network. The Frankfurt route enhances connectivity and passenger choice, particularly for travellers seeking efficient links between the UK and continental Europe.
The launch forms part of Condor’s broader network expansion, with additional European destinations—including Barcelona, Budapest and Venice—set to join its city portfolio, bringing the total to 13 routes.
