Condor will expand its North American network in summer 2027 with the launch of a daily nonstop service between Frankfurt and Chicago O’Hare, operating from 14 May to 12 September 2027. The new seasonal route strengthens the airline’s presence in the United States and provides passengers with direct access to one of North America’s largest aviation and business hubs.
Operated by the Airbus A330neo, the service is aimed at both leisure and business travellers. Condor says the route will benefit passengers visiting the large German-American community in the Chicago area, while also offering convenient onward connections across the United States via O’Hare. From Frankfurt, travellers will have access to Condor’s growing European network and destinations served by partner airlines.
The launch coincides with another significant milestone for the carrier. From the start of the 2027 summer schedule, Condor will relocate its Frankfurt operations to the airport’s new Terminal 3, where passengers will benefit from modern facilities, shorter transfer times and improved connections between long-haul and European flights.
The Chicago service will be operated by Condor’s Airbus A330neo fleet, featuring lie-flat Business Class seats with direct aisle access, an upgraded Premium Economy cabin, inflight entertainment and Wi-Fi. The airline also highlights the aircraft’s improved fuel efficiency and lower CO? emissions compared with previous-generation widebody aircraft.
Condor CEO Peter Gerber described Chicago as “an ideal addition” to the airline’s North American network, citing strong potential for both business and leisure travel while further enhancing connectivity between the United States and Europe.
