Qatar Airways and China Southern Airlines are expanding their codeshare agreement and flight frequencies to strengthen connectivity between China and global destinations via Doha.
Starting 16 October 2025, Qatar Airways will codeshare on China Southern’s three weekly Beijing Daxing–Doha flights, while China Southern will place its code on 15 Qatar Airways routes across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
The move coincides with China’s Golden Week travel peak and builds on their 2024 agreement covering Guangzhou–Doha services. Subject to approvals, China Southern will also extend its code to Qatar Airways flights from Doha to Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou, and Shanghai.
With this expansion, Qatar Airways, China Southern, and Xiamen Airlines will offer 64 weekly flights from eight Chinese gateways, creating one of the most extensive networks in Greater China. The airlines also plan to deepen cooperation in cargo and loyalty programmes.
