The Consulate General of Hungary in Shanghai unofficially announced on Facebook a new non-stop flight from Shanghai to Budapest. According to this publication, China Eastern Airlines will launch the new flight in June but will fly the route with a Shanghai Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
Shanghai Airlines operates as a subsidiary of China Eastern and currently has no European flights, which also means that the Hungarian capital will be its first scheduled European destination.
China Eastern Airlines will operate four weekly flights between Budapest and Shanghai from June 2019, with Shanghai Airlines’ new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
The Dreamliner will have a total of 285 seats in a four-class layout: 4 seats in First Class, 26 in Business Class, 28 in Premium Economy and 227 in Economy Class.
