China Cargo Airlines has officially inaugurated a new scheduled cargo service between Hefei Xinqiao International Airport (HFE), China, and Liege Airport (LGG), Belgium. The first flight landed in Liege on May 23, 2025, marking the start of regular operations on this vital air freight corridor.
The route will be operated three times per week using the airline’s modern Boeing 777 Freighter (B777F), significantly enhancing capacity and connectivity for cargo between Europe and Asia.
A subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines, China Cargo Airlines is a major player in the global air freight industry. With a fleet of 15 wide-body freighters, the carrier operates across key logistics hubs in Asia, Europe, and North America. The airline is known for its commitment to safety, efficiency, and service excellence—values that underpin its role in global trade and supply chain logistics.
This new route also underlines Liege Airport’s continuing rise as one of Europe’s premier logistics platforms. Strategically located in Belgium, Liege offers rapid access to major European markets, making it a preferred choice for international cargo operators.
On the other end of the route, Hefei is emerging as a major industrial and technological hub in eastern China. The direct air link with Liege provides local manufacturers and exporters with faster and more efficient access to European markets.
