Cathay Pacific has introduced a new five-times-weekly non-stop service between Hong Kong and Seattle, marking its ninth passenger destination in North America and strengthening transpacific connectivity.
The new route provides the airline’s only direct link between its home hub and Washington State’s ??????? tech and cultural centre. Operated by an Airbus A350-900, the service offers full long-haul cabin options, including lie-flat Business Class seats.
Launched as part of Cathay Pacific’s 80th anniversary celebrations, the inaugural flight featured a special-edition aircraft livery commemorating the airline’s heritage since 1946.
With this addition, Cathay Pacific will operate nearly 120 return flights per week to North America during the summer season, serving major cities including Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver, and now Seattle.
The new service also enhances cargo capacity, complementing existing freighter operations and reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a major international aviation hub.
