Cathay Pacific is expanding its reach in Latin America by launching new codeshare services with Iberia to Fortaleza and Recife (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) via Madrid. Argentina and the Dominican Republic join Cathay Pacific’s codeshare network for the first time, strengthening connectivity between Hong Kong and the growing Belt and Road region in Latin America.
To support the expansion, Cathay Pacific will increase its Hong Kong–Madrid service from four weekly flights to a daily operation from 25 October 2026, adding three new weekly frequencies. The airline remains the only carrier offering non-stop flights between Hong Kong and Spain.
The new codeshares expand Cathay Pacific’s Latin American network to destinations across Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina and the Dominican Republic through its oneworld partners. Madrid, first served by Cathay Pacific in 2016, continues to play a key role in the airline’s strategy to strengthen links between Asia and Europe while providing onward connections to Latin America.
