Over the past six months at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Cargolux has played a key role in promoting Luxembourg’s cultural and economic presence on the global stage, partnering with GIE Luxembourg @ Expo 2025 Osaka to deliver the essence of the Grand Duchy to Japan.
As part of its support, Cargolux provided free air transport for exhibits featured in the Luxembourg Pavilion, including works of art and a traditional Keelebunn – Luxembourg’s nine-pin bowling alley. The pavilion, themed “Doki Doki – The Luxembourg Heartbeat,” celebrated the country’s entrepreneurial spirit, diversity, and traditions through interactive displays and digital storytelling.
“The Expo 2025 in Osaka is a prominent international event that connects nations and highlights their unique contributions. Luxembourg and Japan share strong economic ties, and we’re proud to have supported this initiative showcasing our country’s innovation and identity,” said Richard Forson, President & CEO of Cargolux.
As the Expo concludes, Cargolux will again provide complimentary transport of the pavilion’s materials back to Luxembourg, using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for the return flight to offset emissions associated with the shipment.
“Cargolux’s expertise in logistics was instrumental in making the Luxembourg Pavilion a success,” said André Hansen, Commissioner General of the Luxembourg Pavilion. “Their contribution underscores how Luxembourg’s global champions can elevate the nation’s profile abroad.”
Through this collaboration, Cargolux reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen Luxembourg’s international visibility and foster global partnerships.
