Binter has announced the launch of a new direct route between Lanzarote and Santander, starting 31 March 2026, with two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Unveiled at FITUR 2026 in Madrid, the service marks Binter’s first domestic route from a non-capital island, representing a milestone for Canary Islands connectivity.
The new route will drive more than 40% growth in capacity between the Canary Islands and Santander compared with summer 2025. Combined services will provide daily connectivity between the two regions via Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria across the week.
At FITUR, Binter also presented its new onboard menus, effective 1 March 2026, featuring a stronger focus on Canarian products and healthier, more balanced options. The complimentary gourmet offering across all domestic and international flights includes new salads inspired by local recipes, redesigned breakfasts, artisanal snacks, and updated children’s menus under BinterPeques.
During the event, Binter was awarded Best Transport Company in Spain by the Spanish Federation of Tourism Journalists, recognising its role in strengthening territorial cohesion in the Canary Islands and supporting tourism development.
Binter additionally unveiled the 2026 Binter NightRun calendar, Spain’s largest night-running circuit, with races scheduled in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (18 April), Palma (9 May), San Sebastián (6 June), Zaragoza (26 September) and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (7 November).
Finally, the airline introduced a new campaign reinforcing its “Modo Canario” brand philosophy, highlighting the values of warmth, hospitality and attentiveness that define both island life and Binter’s approach to air travel.
