Binter has launched a new direct service linking Seville with Gran Canaria and Tenerife North, offering 20 weekly flights (10 to each airport) and positioning itself as a higher-comfort alternative to low-cost carriers.
The airline says demand is already meeting expectations and plans to increase frequencies as the route matures. Binter highlights its “Canarian Mode” service—more legroom, no middle seat, Canarian products included in the fare, and carry-on baggage at no extra cost—as a key differentiator.
Operated with quiet, 132-seat Embraer E2 jets, the route is designed to give Seville passengers access to all eight Canary Islands at the same fare as flying to the two hubs, supported by Binter’s extensive inter-island network of 250 weekly flights. Local officials welcomed the new connection, noting Seville Airport’s strong traffic growth, expanding route map, and rising tourism opportunities.
