Biman Bangladesh Airlines has placed a firm order for 10 Airbus aircraft as part of its fleet modernisation plans. The order comprises four A350-900 widebody aircraft and six A321neo single-aisle aircraft.
The new aircraft will support the Bangladeshi flag carrier’s plans to expand its international network from Dhaka, including new services to North America and increased capacity to Europe and the Middle East.
Airbus says the A350 will provide the range and efficiency required for long-haul operations, while the A321neo will offer greater flexibility on regional and medium-haul routes.
