Avianca has resumed daily flights between Bogotá and Caracas and introduced a new daily service linking Bogotá with Maracaibo, strengthening air connectivity between Colombia and Venezuela.
The Bogotá–Caracas route resumed on 1 September following an assessment of operational and security conditions with the relevant authorities. The new Maracaibo service began on 28 August, complementing Avianca’s existing daily flights between Bogotá and Valencia.
All three routes are operated with 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. Together, they provide more than 7,500 weekly seats between Colombia and Venezuela, with connections through Bogotá to over 80 destinations across the Americas and Europe.
Avianca also highlighted its humanitarian response following Venezuela’s 24 June earthquakes. Its cargo division transported nearly 150 tonnes of relief supplies, while the airline’s Miles Bank helped fly more than 134 doctors and rescue workers from 14 organisations.
LifeMiles members donated over 18 million miles to the operation, with Avianca matching those contributions.
