Avianca has announced an expansion of its United States network with additional services to Miami and Fort Lauderdale, increasing connectivity between Colombia and South Florida.
The airline opened sales on May 8 for new frequencies on its Bogotá–Fort Lauderdale and Barranquilla–Miami routes, with the expanded schedules beginning on June 1, 2026.
Under the new plan, Avianca will add a second daily flight between Bogotá and Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport. The new AV66 service will depart Bogotá at 14:40 and arrive in Fort Lauderdale at 19:30, while the return AV67 flight will leave Fort Lauderdale at 10:45.
The airline is also upgrading its Barranquilla–Miami route from three weekly flights to daily service. Flight AV2 will depart Barranquilla at 07:50 and arrive at Miami International Airport at 11:45, with the return AV3 flight departing Miami at 13:30.
Avianca said the expansion reflects growing demand for travel between Colombia and the United States and forms part of its broader strategy to strengthen regional connectivity. The airline currently operates more than 400 weekly flights to and from the U.S., linking 14 Latin American cities with destinations across North America, Europe and the rest of the Americas.
Part of Abra Group, Avianca transported nearly 37 million passengers in 2025 and currently operates more than 700 daily flights across its network.
