Avelo Airlines has signed a deal with Embraer for up to 100 E195-E2 aircraft, comprising a firm order for 50 jets and purchase rights for 50 more, valued at US$4.4 billion (list price). Deliveries will begin in H1 2027.
Avelo becomes the launch U.S. operator of Embraer’s largest next-generation commercial jet. The E195-E2s will complement Avelo’s Boeing 737NGs, boosting efficiency and network reach.
Equipped with Embraer’s Enhanced Takeoff System (E2TS), the aircraft offers short-field capability, longer range, fuel savings, and a reduced noise footprint, opening new markets for Avelo.
The new aircraft features include 2×2 seating, in-seat power, larger bins, and a quieter cabin.
Andrew Levy, Avelo’s Founder & CEO, called the E2 a “perfect choice for our future growth,” while Arjan Meijer, Embraer Commercial Aviation CEO, said the deal cements the E195-E2 as a “game-changer” for profitable network expansion.
