Kuehne+Nagel is expanding its air freight operations at Liege Airport, supported by Atlas Air Worldwide, further cementing LGG’s role as a strategic global cargo hub.
The expansion includes the use of fuel-efficient Boeing 747-8F freighters—such as the branded “Inspire”—to handle long-haul, heavy shipments. Already established at the airport, Kuehne+Nagel will enhance its express, charter, and temperature-controlled services, backed by digital tracking platforms.
Michael Steen, Chief Executive Officer Atlas Air Worldwide, said: “We are pleased to support Kuehne+Nagel’s growing presence at Liege Airport. Their decision to expand reinforces Liege’s role as a key hub in the European logistics ecosystem. We look forward to continuing to contribute to this effort with reliable and high-quality airfreight operations.”
The move highlights the company’s confidence in Liege’s 24/7 infrastructure and aligns with its global logistics growth strategy.
