Atlantic Airways has placed a firm order for two additional Airbus A320neo aircraft as it moves towards an all-A320neo fleet.
The Faroe Islands’ national carrier currently operates four A320 Family aircraft: two A320ceos and two A320neos. The purchase supports fleet renewal and is intended to simplify maintenance and improve operational consistency.
Chairman Niels Mortensen said the agreement marks a significant step towards the airline’s ambition to operate A320neos exclusively in the near future.
Airbus says the A320neo offers at least 20% lower fuel consumption and CO? emissions than previous-generation single-aisle aircraft.
Neither delivery dates nor financial terms were disclosed.
