ASL Airlines Belgium has inaugurated a new direct cargo route linking Liege Airport and Sary-Arka Airport in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, further strengthening air freight connectivity between Europe and Central Asia.
The new service, which commenced on 16 June 2026, is operated five times per week using a Boeing 747-400F. The route is designed to support Karaganda’s ambition to establish itself as a major regional logistics hub, facilitating the movement of goods between Europe and Kazakhstan.
Under the new operation, cargo aircraft will transport freight from Europe to Kazakhstan and load additional shipments in Karaganda for the return journey to Europe, enhancing trade flows in both directions.
The launch represents a significant boost for Karaganda‘s logistics sector and reinforces Liege Airport’s strategic role as one of Europe’s leading air cargo gateways.
