Angara Airlines An-24 crashes after emergency landing Nizhneangarsk, Russia

On 27 June, an Angara Airlines An-24 (RA-47366) was operating domestic flight 2G-200 from Ulan-Ude to Nizhneangarsk, Russia. After an engine failure, the pilots made an emergency landing. During roll-out, however, the aircraft veered right off the runway and impacted a building. 

As a result of the collision a fire occurred, passengers evacuated the aircraft.

The flight carried 43 passengers and 4 crew members, sadly two fatalities have been reported (captain and flight engineer). Seven passengers were treated with injuries.

Angara Airlines is an airline based in Irkutsk, Russia.
