ANA Holdings has placed a firm order for eight additional Embraer E190-E2s, formalising the fleet expansion announced on 29 July 2026.
The agreement supplements ANA’s original 2025 order for 15 aircraft, bringing its total firm commitment to 23 E190-E2s. The Japanese airline group retains options for another five.
ANA intends to use the aircraft to develop its domestic regional network while reducing fuel consumption, emissions, noise and operating costs. The E190-E2 will also allow the group to serve thinner routes more efficiently than with larger narrowbody aircraft.
The first E190-E2 is scheduled for delivery to ANA in 2028. Embraer’s E-Jet family has operated in Japan since 2009, supported by the manufacturer’s personnel in the country.
