American Airlines is overhauling its regional fleet to match mainline comfort, introducing modern cabin interiors, power at every seat, and fast satellite Wi-Fi, which will become free for AAdvantage® members in 2026.
The refreshed Embraer 175 and CRJ900 aircraft will feature updated seating, larger overhead bins, and consistent snack service across flight times. The retrofit programme covers CRJ700, CRJ900, E170, and E175 aircraft, with completion planned over the next few years, aiming to deliver a more seamless and connected travel experience on short-haul routes.
