Alitalia has completed another stage in its change process, which began in June: Our short-haul and medium-haul guests will now also be welcomed into completely renovated cabins that fully reflect Italian style, elegance and sensuality.
The new seats, which are made of black leather expressing the best traditions of Italian craftsmanship, are decorated with elegant contrast beige stitching, a further demonstration of care and attention to detail. Beige headrests will distinguish the Business Class while the red ones characterize the Economy Class. The warm wood tones of the front and rear cabin partitions are adorned with the Alitalia tail fin skillfully made of aluminum alloy.
All 96 short-haul and medium-haul aircraft (22 Airbus A319, 42 Airbus A320, 12 Airbus A321, 15 Embraer 175, and 5 Embraer 190) will have their cabin interiors and livery revamped by next April. The work will be carried out at the Alitalia hangars at Fiumicino and Atitech’s factories at Capodichino.
The new cabin interiors are accompanied by the recent improvements to the food and wine that we offer on short-haul and medium-haul international flights. Our Business Class guests will be offered a welcome drink on boarding and, after midday, can enjoy an aperitif. On flights lasting more than three hours, the main course is a choice between a pasta-based or a meat-based dish.
In Economy Class, based on the flight time, appetizing sandwiches or tasty pastries are offered. As well as the usual selection of soft drinks, tea and coffee, beer and wine are now also available.
