Alaska Airlines has announced its boldest international expansion yet, with daily nonstop flights from Seattle to London Heathrow and Reykjavik, beginning spring 2026. The London route will be operated year-round using 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring 34 lie-flat Business Class suites, while the Reykjavik service will be seasonal, flown with 737-8 MAX aircraft.
London Heathrow, Seattle’s largest intercontinental market, will become a key global destination in Alaska’s growing international network. The new route strengthens the airline’s partnerships with American Airlines and British Airways, offering West Coast travellers—including those from Alaska and Hawai?i—enhanced premium service, more flight options, and loyalty benefits.
Alongside these new routes, Alaska unveiled a striking new livery for its 787-9s, marking the start of a reimagined global experience as the airline positions itself as a premium long-haul carrier. The refreshed branding reflects Alaska’s ambitions to connect the Pacific Northwest to major destinations across Europe and Asia by 2030.
