Alaska Airlines will launch seasonal nonstop services from Seattle to Athens and Paris in May 2027, expanding its intercontinental network from its largest hub to seven destinations.
The Seattle–Athens route will begin on 12 May and operate three times weekly until October with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. It will become Alaska Airlines’ longest route and the only nonstop connection between the US West Coast and the Greek capital.
Flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle will start on 25 May and operate five times weekly through October, also using the 787-9. Alaska says it will become the first oneworld member to connect the US West Coast with Paris nonstop.
The schedules will allow same-day connections between Honolulu and Paris via Seattle. Tickets for both routes are now on sale.
Athens and Paris join Alaska’s growing long-haul network from Seattle, which also includes Iceland, London, Rome, Seoul and Tokyo. The airline plans to add at least five more intercontinental destinations by 2030 as additional Dreamliners enter its fleet.
The 787-9s will offer lie-flat Business Class suites and an upgraded international onboard product. Atmos Rewards members will also receive complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi as the technology is introduced across the Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines fleets through 2027.
