Japan-based air mobility operator AirX has signed a binding order agreement with Eve Air Mobility for up to 50 electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, including a firm order for two units and options for 48 more. The agreement marks Eve’s second binding deal with AirX and a key step in advancing sustainable urban air mobility in Japan.
The first two eVTOL aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2029 and will be deployed on sightseeing and last-mile missions in major cities such as Tokyo and Osaka. The partnership supports AirX’s strategy to scale zero-emission urban and regional air transport, while positioning Japan as a leading market for advanced air mobility in the Asia-Pacific region.
Eve highlighted the agreement as a milestone in its regional expansion, underscoring growing global demand for low-noise, zero-emission air mobility solutions.
