airBaltic is poised for another year of growth in summer 2026, further solidifying its position as the leading carrier in the Baltics. While many competitors reduce regional operations, the Latvian national airline is expanding its network from Riga, adding new destinations, increasing flight frequencies, and restoring key routes.
New routes will include Kaunas (Lithuania), Oulu (Finland), and Antalya (Turkey)—now upgraded from charter to scheduled service. The airline will also relaunch flights to Aberdeen, Belgrade, and Yerevan, and boost frequencies on 20 existing routes across Europe, including Istanbul, Larnaca, Malaga, Milan, and Tbilisi.
With nearly 110 routes planned across its bases, airBaltic continues its steady expansion, operating a modern fleet of 50 Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The airline’s strategy reflects long-term reliability and confidence in Baltic connectivity, ensuring travellers’ continued access to key European and global destinations despite market contractions elsewhere.
