Latvian national airline airBaltic has reported record first-half (H1) revenue of €349.6 million for 2025, up 3% year-on-year, with passenger numbers reaching an all-time H1 high of 3.9 million (+8.7%).
In the second quarter (Q2) alone, the carrier generated €216.9 million in revenue (+4.8%) and posted a net profit of €27.6 million, compared to a €24.2 million loss in Q2 2024. Passenger traffic in Q2 rose 8.3% to 2.5 million, with the load factor improving by 2.4 percentage points to 80.2%.
ACMI operations also expanded, with flights up 9.2% in Q2 and 12.4% in H1. The airline reduced its H1 net loss to €1.7 million, a major improvement from last year’s €88.8 million deficit.
Interim CEO Pauls C?l?tis said the results demonstrate “the resilience of our operations” despite ongoing challenges such as engine availability issues and cost pressures.
Looking ahead, airBaltic expects 2025 full-year revenue to reach €780–800 million, with more than 5.2 million passengers carried. The carrier also continues preparations for a potential IPO.
