airBaltic improves connections between the Baltics and Austria

Latvian airline airBaltic has announced improved schedule between the Baltics and Austria. airBaltic has added additional frequencies for flights offered from Riga and Tallinn to Vienna, and during the upcoming winter season, airBaltic will launch a new route from Tallinn to Salzburg.

Martin Gauss, CEO of airBaltic: “The connections between Austria and the Baltics are becoming increasingly popular. In recent years, airBaltic has seen a steadily growing demand for flights to and from Austria. For 2019, we expect passenger numbers on these routes to increase by up to 23% compared to the previous year.”

Seasonal flights from Salzburg will start on December 21, 2019. airBaltic will operate the Tallinn–Salzburg route until 28 March 2020. Passengers from Riga will be able to fly to Salzburg until March 21, 2020. In addition, from Riga to Vienna airBaltic will operate 11 flights weekly, but from Tallinn to Vienna – four times weekly.

airBaltic serves over 70 destinations from Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius, offering the largest variety of destinations and convenient connections via Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, the CIS and the Middle East.
