Latvia’s flag carrier airBaltic is celebrating its 30th anniversary today, August 28, with events and activities running until October 1, 2025 – the date of its first Riga–Stockholm flight in 1995.

Founded as a joint venture between Latvia and SAS, airBaltic has grown from a small regional operator into the leading airline of the Baltics, carrying more than 65 million passengers on over one million flights over three decades.

Now operating a fleet of 50 Airbus A220-300s to more than 80 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus, the airline is marking its milestone with a special anniversary website (https://30years.airbaltic.com), featuring fleet liveries, historical highlights, and a “30 Stories for 30 Years” series that shares personal memories from passengers and employees.
