airBaltic carried nearly half a million passengers in June 2025, marking a 2% year-on-year increase as the Latvian airline continued to post steady growth across its network. The carrier welcomed 497,800 passengers, compared to 487,700 in June 2024, while achieving a record-high load factor of 84.1%, up 2.1 percentage points from the previous year.
Despite operating slightly fewer flights — 4,314 in June 2025, down 1.6% from the same month in 2024 — airBaltic’s efficiency gains and strong demand helped push performance to new heights. The airline also reported a flight regularity of 99.74%, further underlining its reputation for operational reliability.
According to the airline, the small decline in flight numbers resulted from network optimisation introduced earlier this year. Nonetheless, improved aircraft utilisation and strong bookings helped boost overall performance.
The June data comes ahead of airBaltic’s H1 2025 financial and operational results, which will be presented during the investor call on August 13, 2025.
airBaltic currently operates a network of nearly 130 routes from bases in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and seasonally Gran Canaria, serving over 70 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus.
The airline flies a modern fleet of 50 Airbus A220-300s and employs more than 2,800 people. In February, it became the first airline in Europe to offer free Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi, and a minority investment from Lufthansa Group, announced in January, is expected to close in Q3 2025.
Backed by strong state support and a growing international presence, airBaltic has earned multiple industry awards, including a spot among the world’s 50 safest airlines and recognition as one of the top airlines globally in 2025 by Airline Ratings.
