Share

airBaltic has launched a new weekly direct flight between Riga and Faro, Portugal, operating on Saturdays. Faro becomes the airline’s fourth Portuguese destination, joining Lisbon, Porto, and Madeira (to be added in October 2025). The route offers Latvian travellers direct access to the Algarve and enhances connections for passengers from Portugal via Riga.

The airline’s upcoming winter schedule also includes:

  • New routes: Gran Canaria–Ljubljana (Oct 25, 2025) and Tallinn–Madeira (Oct 26, 2025).
  • Increased connectivity: More flights to Amsterdam (up to 19 per week from Riga) and expanded Dubai service (daily from Riga, four weekly from Vilnius).
  • Extended seasonal routes: Riga–Pisa and Riga–Porto through November; Riga–Catania starting March 2026.
  • Boosted leisure options: More flights to Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada, resumption of Riga–Dublin service.
  • Strong ski offering: Destinations include Innsbruck, Salzburg, Geneva, Verona, and Kittilä.

Flight time between Riga and Faro is 4 hours and 55 minutes.
