airBaltic is significantly expanding its network across the Baltic States for summer 2026, adding new routes, reinstating previously served destinations, and increasing frequencies on existing services. Following route announcements made in September 2025, the airline will introduce four additional new routes and resume four others, bringing the total to ten new and four reinstated destinations for the season.
The expansion will drive notable capacity growth across all three Baltic markets: seat capacity will rise by 12% in Riga (over 400,000 additional seats), 11% in Tallinn (more than 90,000 seats), and 21% in Lithuania (Vilnius, Palanga and Kaunas combined, with over 150,000 additional seats).
For summer 2026, airBaltic will launch new services from Riga to Warsaw and Gothenburg, and from Vilnius to Zurich and Chisinau. These complement routes announced earlier, including new connections from Riga to Kaunas, Oulu and Antalya, and from Tallinn to Athens, Hamburg and Vienna. In addition, the airline will resume flights from Riga to Aberdeen, Belgrade and Yerevan, and from Tallinn to Oslo.
Beyond new and reinstated routes, airBaltic will increase frequencies on 30 existing routes from its Baltic bases—20 from Riga, four from Tallinn and seven from Vilnius. Overall, the airline plans to operate more than 110 routes during the summer season, representing around a 9% increase compared with summer 2025.
The expansion reinforces airBaltic’s role as the leading carrier in the Baltics, strengthening regional connectivity to Europe and beyond. The airline will continue to operate its fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft, offering both Economy and Business Class, and advancing its rollout of free high-speed Starlink internet across the fleet.
