airBaltic and Lufthansa have announced an expansion of their existing codeshare partnership on flights between Riga and Frankfurt, effective from 17 December 2025. Under the agreement, Lufthansa will add its LH code to airBaltic-operated flights on the route, while airBaltic will place its BT code on Lufthansa-operated services.
The enhanced codeshare applies specifically to transit passengers connecting via Frankfurt, one of Europe’s key aviation hubs, allowing smoother onward travel to Lufthansa’s global network. Tickets are already on sale through both airlines.
Building on a partnership that began in 2020, this expansion further strengthens Latvia’s international connectivity and reinforces airBaltic’s role as the leading airline in the Baltics, while deepening cooperation with Lufthansa across the region.
