An airBaltic A220-300 aircraft registered YL-ABS arriving from Berlin as flight SN2590 on behalf of Brussels Airlines made an emergency landing at Brussels Airport on Wednesday evening, 14 October, following a technical problem. The aircraft landed safely, and no injuries were reported, an airport spokesperson confirmed to Belga.
The incident was first reported at around 22:00 local time. Brussels was the aircraft’s intended destination, so the flight did not divert to another airport.
The nature of the technical problem remains unclear. The pilots never squawked an emergency code. The available report does not specify the number of people onboard.
