AirAsia has launched its first codeshare partnership with Pegasus Airlines, creating new connections between Southeast Asia and Europe through Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport.
The initial phase covers journeys from Kuala Lumpur to London Stansted, Moscow Vnukovo, Ankara, Zurich and Athens via Istanbul. The partnership is expected to expand progressively to more than 100 connecting routes across the airlines’ combined networks.
Passengers can book the connecting flights as a single journey and have their baggage transferred to the final destination without collecting and rechecking it in Istanbul.
AirAsia X will support the partnership by increasing Kuala Lumpur–Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen services from four to seven weekly flights by February 2027. The route was launched in November 2025.
The agreement also gives European passengers connections through Kuala Lumpur to AirAsia’s network across Southeast Asia, China and Australia. AirAsia serves more than 140 destinations in the Asia-Pacific region, while Pegasus’ network covers approximately 160 destinations in 56 countries.
Promotional one-way fares from Kuala Lumpur to the five initial European destinations start at RM799, including 20 kg of checked baggage. Bookings are available from 2 to 6 September for travel until 27 March 2027. Return-direction promotional fares start at USD199 from Ankara, Moscow, Athens and Zurich, and USD299 from London Stansted.
