Fake bomb threat delays an Air Transat flight from Brussels to Montreal with one day

Yesterday’s Air Transat flight TS152, linking Brussels, Belgium and Montreal, Canada was delayed with one day after a fake bomb threat.

A bomb threat on that particular flight was send by email,” confirmed Brussels Airport spokeswoman Anke Fransen to Belgian broadcast RTL, “the usual procedure was initiated: specialized security services intervened. The federal police carried out a strict check of the aircraft and found nothing suspicious.”

Originally, the Airbus A330 (C-GUBC) was scheduled to depart on Wednesday (26 June) at 13:30 (UTC +2) but the flight has now been postponed until today as the crew exceeded their duty time limitations.
