On 19 May 2019, Air Transat will fly its first Airbus A321neo LR registered C-GOIE on flight TS156 from Montréal Trudeau to Brussels Airport.
The Canadian airline is going to fly – for the first time – to the Belgian capital with its brand new A321neo LR. It is the first time this type of aircraft will land at Brussels while other A321neo aircraft have been operated to Belgium, mainly by Turkish Airlines and defunct WOW air.
Air Transat said to Aviation24.be: “During Summer 2019, A321neo LR will be scheduled randomly on Brussels – Montréal flights. The aim is to have the Airbus A321neo LR to completely replace the Airbus A310 in 2020.”
Air Transat will introduce its A321neo LR as from 4 May 2020 until 1st June 2020, when it will be replaced by Airbus A330-200. A321neo LR will still fly 3 return flights in October, before closing the seasonal route.
Air Transat flies 2 to 3 times per week to Brussels from Montréal and only during the Summer season.
The complete order of 15 Airbus A321neo LR should be delivered to the airline within 2 or 3 years.
