Air Transat is expanding its transatlantic network with the addition of winter service to Bordeaux (BOD) and Valencia (VLC) starting in February 2026, marking the first time these routes will be offered outside the summer season. The flights will operate once weekly on Saturdays from Montréal-Trudeau Airport (YUL) aboard the airline’s Airbus A321LR aircraft.
The move reflects Air Transat’s growing commitment to year-round connectivity between Canada and Europe. “By expanding our presence in France and Spain during the winter, we are taking another step toward making our transatlantic program available year-round,” said Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat. The Bordeaux service adds to the airline’s existing winter routes to Lyon, Marseille, and Nantes, reinforcing France’s role as a key market. Meanwhile, Valencia, which will launch as a summer destination on June 20, joins Madrid and Malaga as part of the carrier’s expanding winter schedule in Spain.
The new winter flights to Bordeaux and Valencia begin on February 21, 2026, and are already available for booking. This extension not only supports leisure travel but also serves Canadians visiting family and friends abroad. Full details of Air Transat’s Winter 2025-2026 program are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
