Air Tahiti has announced it will equip one of its newly ordered ATR 72-600 aircraft with the ATR HighLine All-Business Class cabin, launching a new VIP service connecting French Polynesia’s iconic destinations such as Bora Bora and Raiatea from the second half of 2026.
The aircraft will feature a premium 26-seat 1-1 layout, offering individual business-class seats designed by Geven with wide 21.6-inch seating, 39-inch pitch, deep 7-inch recline, direct aisle and window access, personal consoles, stowage, and USB A+C ports. This represents a major step in Air Tahiti’s fleet renewal and service upgrade strategy, aiming to elevate the inter-island travel experience to match the region’s world-class appeal.
Air Tahiti CEO Edouard Wong Fat emphasised the airline’s intent to blend connectivity, luxury, and sustainability, saying the new cabin reflects the islands’ natural beauty and caters to premium travellers, whether arriving from long-haul flights or island-hopping.
ATR SVP Commercial Alexis Vidal noted that the selection reaffirms rising global demand for high-comfort, low-emission regional air travel. With this move, Air Tahiti joins Berjaya Air of Malaysia in adopting the HighLine All-Business Class configuration, underlining ATR’s growing role in premium regional aviation.
