Air Serbia has announced the launch of direct flights between Belgrade and Toronto (Toronto Pearson International Airport – YYZ), starting 23 May 2026. The new route marks the airline’s third North American destination after New York and Chicago, restoring a long-awaited air link last operated in May 1992 by JAT.
The service will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Tickets go on sale on 16 October 2025 through Air Serbia’s official website, Contact Centre, and sales offices.
CEO Ji?í Marek described the move as “a new chapter” for Air Serbia and a major step toward positioning Belgrade as a key European–North American hub. He highlighted the route’s importance for tourism, trade, and Serbia’s large diaspora in Canada, emphasizing that it will strengthen cultural and economic ties while simplifying travel for families across both continents.
Through Belgrade, passengers from Toronto will enjoy convenient onward connections to major European and regional cities, including Athens, Istanbul, Vienna, Prague, Zurich, and Zagreb, among others.
