Air Serbia is set to resume direct flights between Munich and Belgrade on May 22, marking the airline’s return to Munich Airport after an 18-year absence.
The route will operate daily, with a flight time of around 90 minutes, using Embraer E195 aircraft configured with 118 seats across Business and Economy Class. The schedule varies throughout the week, with morning departures from Munich on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and evening flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Return flights from Belgrade follow a similar split between early morning and late afternoon departures.
The relaunch coincides with infrastructure expansion at Munich Airport, including the opening of a new pier at Terminal 1. Airport CEO Jost Lammers welcomed the move, highlighting its role in strengthening connectivity between Bavaria and the Balkans.
Ji?í Marek said the route will enhance links between Serbia and one of Europe’s most economically dynamic regions, offering benefits for both business and leisure travellers. From its Belgrade hub, Air Serbia also provides onward connections across Southeast Europe and beyond.
Tickets for the new service are already on sale, signalling a renewed push to expand regional connectivity ahead of the summer travel season.
