Remainder of the pilot strike at Air Nostrum cancelled, agreement reached

Air Nostrum and pilot union Sepla have reached an agreement that puts an end to the pilot strike, previously announced for 15-16-17 and 22-23-24 April. This means that next week’s strike has been called off. The Spanish regional airline, however, will keep 47 flights cancelled today as too late to reschedule and is now working hard to recover most of tomorrow’s flights that previously got cancelled.

Press release by Air Nostrum

After more than 17 hours of meetings, the representatives of Air Nostrum and Sepla have reached an agreement tonight that puts an end to the stoppages called by the union for Holy Week.

At three o’clock this morning the agreement has been signed by which the union proceeds to the recall of the six-day strike.

After the agreement between the company and the Sepla, all flights on 22, 23 and 24 April will be operated normally.

The company is working hard to recover most of the flights canceled on Wednesday 17 April.

The 47 flights suppressed on Tuesday 16 April, on the occasion of the strike could not be recovered given the technical complexity of the reprogramming process and the lateness of the agreement. Either way, passengers on canceled flights will be entitled to reimbursement of their tickets or to relocation on other flights until May 10.

Throughout the day on Tuesday, the company will report the flights that have been able to recover by Wednesday 17 April.

Air Nostrum appreciates the understanding of its customers and apologizes for the disruption they may have suffered as a result of this strike.

In the same way, the company reaffirms its commitment to all its customers to continue offering a quality service, as it has been doing for the last twenty-five years.
