Air India has inaugurated India’s first non-stop service to the Philippines, connecting Delhi (DEL) with Manila (MNL). The inaugural flight departed from Indira Gandhi International Airport today, marking a new milestone in Air India’s Southeast Asia expansion.
The launch was officiated by H.E. Josel F. Ignacio, Ambassador of the Philippines to India, alongside senior officials from the Philippine Embassy and Air India.
The new five-times-weekly service strengthens Air India’s Southeast Asian network to eight destinations across seven countries. It provides direct connectivity for growing leisure and business travel between the two nations and offers Filipino travellers new links to Europe and North America through Air India’s Delhi hub.
Flights are operated by the Airbus A321LR, configured in three classes — Business (with fully flat beds), Premium Economy, and Economy — making Air India one of the few Southeast Asian operators to offer lie-flat seats on single-aisle aircraft.
“These flights unlock immense tourism potential and foster stronger trade and cultural ties between India and the Philippines,” said Campbell Wilson, CEO & MD of Air India.
