Transavia will begin flying three times a week from Amsterdam to Cairo starting October 27, 2025, marking the Egyptian capital as its fourth destination in Egypt alongside Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, and Marsa Alam. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays and are now available for booking.

Cairo’s addition reflects strong demand for destinations that combine sunshine, culture, and family visits. The city is especially attractive due to landmarks like the Pyramids of Giza and the upcoming Grand Egyptian Museum. Egypt continues to be a winter favourite for European travellers.

From Belgium, Transavia is also expanding: a new Brussels–Agadir route will launch with three weekly flights during the 2025/2026 winter season. This complements existing winter services from Amsterdam to Rabat and Agadir, both now operating three times weekly.

Transavia is responding to continued travel demand by increasing capacity and deploying more Airbus A321neo aircraft, which offer quieter, more efficient, and higher-capacity service than the Boeing 737-800.
