Transavia has surpassed 10 million passengers in a single year for the first time in its 60-year history, marking a major milestone for the Dutch low-cost carrier. The 10 millionth traveller flew from Amsterdam to Seville on 12 December and was met and congratulated by outgoing CEO Marcel de Nooijer.
The record reflects strong demand for affordable air travel and the airline’s investments in operational reliability and fleet renewal. Transavia is modernising its fleet with Airbus A321neos, which offer more seats and lower per-passenger emissions.
Looking ahead, the carrier plans further network expansion from the Netherlands and Belgium, including a new Brussels base, while continuing its sustainability transition and focus on customer experience.
