In a short but clear message, the Air France-KLM group denies having made an offer to take over Alitalia, as previously announced by Italian business daily “il Sole 24 Ore”. In the statement, the group says that it has taken no part in the process launched by the Italian authorities to take over the ailing Italian airline. As such: “the Air France-KLM group has not had access to any confidential information“.
It seems that German airline Lufthansa is again the favourite for the takeover of the troubled Italian flagship carrier.
